Shipping labels
Sellers were switching between the marketplace and carrier tools just to ship an order. I designed how labels are generated directly from the order — with the right carrier and service — and how tracking flows back automatically.
Mirakl Marketplace Platform
This work is under NDA. The cover uses Mirakl’s public product visuals and the illustrations below are conceptual, not real screens. I’m happy to walk you through the details on a call.
The Mirakl Marketplace Platform lets retailers and distributors run marketplaces with thousands of third-party sellers — from seller onboarding and catalog to orders, fulfilment and payments.
Across the platform and order squads, I worked on what keeps orders moving: shipping labels, in-app notifications, and the onboarding and monitoring of EDI connections for suppliers who exchange orders system-to-system. At this scale, small frictions repeated thousands of times a day become real costs.
I worked with the platform and order squads in parallel — their product managers, engineering managers and developers — taking each feature end to end and keeping them consistent with the patterns sellers and operators already knew.
Sellers were switching between the marketplace and carrier tools just to ship an order. I designed how labels are generated directly from the order — with the right carrier and service — and how tracking flows back automatically.
Important events were easy to miss in a dense back-office. I designed a notification system that surfaces what needs action — orders, messages, catalog decisions — prioritised and linked to the right place, without adding noise.
Many suppliers exchange orders system-to-system through EDI. I designed how a connection is set up step by step — partner, field mapping, test message — so going live no longer depends on long back-and-forth with support.
Once live, every message has to be traceable. I designed the monitoring views that show the status of each exchange per order, surface failures early and let operators act before an order gets stuck.
Shipping labels and the EDI flows were designed entirely in code: I built them with Claude Code in VS Code. Product managers and engineers reviewed working interfaces with real states and edge cases instead of static mock-ups, which made feedback and handoff much faster.
Most of the features I worked on here were designed from scratch and are now part of what Mirakl sells to its enterprise clients — shipping labels and EDI among them.
